Embrace Ministry is a body of believers that strives to grow as a Christ-centered community of grace, to be led by the Holy Spirit, and to build God's Kingdom for His glory. We are a vibrant community, balanced with married couples with and without kids; working, young professionals; and a passionate group of college students.
Embrace Ministry is the English-speaking congregation of Seoul Presbyterian Church.
Rev. Joshua Kim joined Embrace Ministry in February 2010. Previously, he served as an active duty chaplain for four years at Pope Air Force Base in North Carolina. He began his seminary studies at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, completed his Masters of Divinity at Alliance Theological Seminary, and was ordained in 2002.
Rev. Kim has experience ministering in diverse settings. In addition to serving as a military chaplain, he has served in Korean-speaking churches as a youth pastor (Queens, NY) and as an English ministry pastor (Chicago, IL). He has also served as an associate pastor at a large congregational church (Greenwich, CT). He continues to serve his country one month in the summer as an Air Force chaplain reservist at the Air Force Academy.
Rev. Kim and his wife, Grace, have two children, Josiah and Karis.
The Leadership Board consists of four members who are nominated and approved by the congregation to serve as our ministry's leadership, focusing on the vision, culture, and finances of the church.
Currently serving on the Board are James Ham, Won Kim, Joe Park, and Sang Park.
